Great care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of these guides and maps, but weather, tides, and water conditions can change rapidly and create hazardous conditions. These maps are for informational use only, please use NOAA Charts for navigation. Paddlers should have all proper attire, gear, safety equipment and check conditions before depar-ture. Don’t forget to leave a float plan with an estimated time of return.2013 Cedar Key 2014 Steinhatchee/Jena 2015 Yankeetown/Inglis 2016 Suwannee
THERE ARE INHERENT DANGERS IN ANY KAYAK PADDLE. THERE ARE SPECIAL HAZARDS IN THE HIDDEN COAST AREA DUE TO SHIFTING TIDES, CHANGING WIND AND WEATHER, SHALLOW WATERS, AND TREACHEROUS BOTTOMS WITH SOFT MUD, ROCKS, AND OYSTER BARS. IT IS UP TO THE PADDLER TO BE AWARE OF THESE DANGERS, TO ACCEPT AND BE PREPARED FOR THE RISKS INVOLVED, AND TO BE CERTAIN THAT THE REGISTRANT HAS THE SKILLS NECESSARY, AND THE PROPER EQUIPMENT, TO SAFELY PADDLE IN SUCH WATERS.
